I'm Tate Storheim — a Christian, and a seeker of adventure.

Son and Swell comes from the two things I've built my life around: seek God first, chase the swell of life second.

I grew up in Colorado. After high school I bounced around for a while before landing in Utah, where I stayed for three years. But in that comfort, I started growing stagnant. I felt like I needed a change and that God needed me elsewhere to grow.

So I took the leap I'd been thinking about for years. I sold almost everything I owned, bought a van, moved to California, and started Son and Swell.

Leaving everyone and everything behind was terrifying. I didn’t really have a plan beyond trusting that God did. All I could do was go and act — chasing the swell of life with nothing but faith to stand on.

That's the heart of Son and Swell: seek God first, and chase the swell hard. Not someday. Not when it's safe. Now.
